Arizona Area Agencies on Aging (AAA)

AAA offices can be found across the state of Arizona. They offer assistance, information, and support for seniors citizens of the state, persons with disabilities, and their loved ones.

This is the same as the AAA programme which is one of the Disability Grants in Alaska.

Arizona Department of Veterans Services

Arizona’s Department of Veterans Services may be able to provide a disability grant for disabled veterans of the US military. This grants covers the cost of a wheelchair van. You may qualify for financial assistance if you become disabled or more disabled while in service or undergoing a VA-sponsored care.

The Arizona State Department of Economic Security oversees the operation of this agency. Its mission is to assist disabled residents in Arizona find and keep gainful employment for greater independence and have a more rewarding life. It may also partially or fully fund your handicapped-friendly vehicle if you need it to look for and hold down a job.

Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC)

The Arizona SILC advocated for a more independent life for state residents with disabilities. It doesn’t provide disability grants, but it is an important resource for those who need this type of assistance.
