Montana Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs)
This is a great place to start your search for financial help in order to obtain your handicap van.

Montana Area Agencies on Aging (AAA)
There are many AAA offices located throughout the state that can help seniors in various ways.
Montana Council on Developmental Disabilities (CDD)
CDD Montana is a citizen-based organization that advocates for the rights and equal participation people with developmental disabilities living in the state. The council offers a wide range of assistance and services, and they have an unmatched commitment to the group and their loved ones. Montana Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC)
In 1992, Montana’s SILC was established. Since then, it has been tireless in ensuring that individuals with disabilities can function independently and take part as fully as possible in their communities. This council is made up of 12 governor-appointed voting members, and they provide valuable information and advice.

Montana Veterans Affairs (VA)
The State VA is your link to all the support and benefits you have earned while serving your country. You may be entitled to a VA-sponsored disability grant for a handicapped-accessible vehicle as a disabled US veteran residing in Montana.

Montana Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Programs
Montana’s VR is dedicated to helping people with disabilities find rewarding jobs. This division of the Department of Health and Human Services provides job training, work placement, and many other services. Moreover, when wheelchair vans are needed to transport disabled people to their workplace, it awards grant money.

Rocky Mountain Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Center
Residents of the state of Montana and Rocky Mountain states may contact this ADA Center as it is the appropriate branch of the National Network of ADA Centers. The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research funds the center, and serves as an important resource for people with disabilities living in the state and region. Call them about your situation and they will help you find disability grants for accessibility equipment and modifications, or a wheelchair van.
