- Organic Certification Cost Share Reimbursement Program- State Portion (OCCSP)
- OCCSP offers cost sharing assistance to agricultural product producers and handlers who getting or renewing their certification under the National Organic Program (NOP). Certified operations may receive up to 75% of their certification costs, but not exceeding $750 per certification scope. In order to apply through FSA, you can locate an FSA county office near you through the Service Center Locator. You can access the FSA OCCSP application form at USDA’s eForms website, select the “Browse Forms” and enter “OCCSP” in the “title or keywords” field of the search page. After certified operations have been reimbursed through their FSA county office, they can contact the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry to apply for a state match portion. They may receive up to 75% of their certification costs during the program year, but it cannot exceed $750), and minus any funds the FSA has given. The state match must not be more than the amount of certification expenses they have paid during the program year.
