Hurricane Ian Assistance
Everyone is extremely sorry for the loss of everyone affected by Hurricane Ian. They are here to help. Frankie’s Friends has allocated $80,000 to help families affected by Hurricane Ian, and this money will be used to cover their pets’ emergency veterinary care.
If you need help to pay for emergency veterinary care for your pet and have been impacted by Hurricane Ian, please complete the online request form at https://forms.office.com/r/L5CCK6y1hy.
These disaster relief funds can only be used for family-owned pets that are in urgent need of lifesaving care.
Note: This only applies to families that were directly affected by the storm. For all other emergency situations, please continue to use the standard application for requesting assistance for other pet related medical emergencies.
Hurricane Ian
Help is needed for Central Florida pets. Two days after the hurricane, a family in Orlando, Florida lost their home, burned down, taking the life of their beloved pets and all their possessions. Simba and Nala, the other pets were saved but sustained extreme smoke inhalation. They are currently in-patients at the ER in Maitland, FL. The husband and wife are eligible for VA Disability, and they live in their car until they get relocated with insurance assistance.
Both pets will be able to make a full recovery if they continue receiving oxygen therapy, follow-up radiographs, and generalized hospital monitoring.
Frankie’s Friends is committed to helping with the costs of Simba and Nala’s care, but they need your support. They need your help to ensure that pets receive emergency veterinary care during this difficult time. Please think about making a donation to help the affected pets today.
Application For Assistance
Frankie’s Friends offers financial assistance grants for family pets that require lifesaving or specialty veterinary care, but whose owners cannot afford the entire cost of the treatment.
Their programs can help in the treatment of emergency and specialty medical conditions that could cause the pet to suffer, be euthanized, or relinquished without proper veterinary care.
Your application for assistance may be considered if:
- Your pet may need emergency or specialty veterinary treatment
- A licensed veterinarian has seen your pet
- Your pet’s veterinarian has given you a positive prognosis with a recommended treatment
- You have documentation of financial need
- The treatment plan hasn’t been paid since they do not reimburse any payments already made
BluePearl Pet Hospitals will be able to help your pet if they are undergoing treatment. So, please inquire directly with their management team about what the criteria is for the Hope Fund program rather than applying for Frankie’s Friends assistance online.
Ask the staff at Banfield Pet Hospital, VCA Animal Hospital, or Veterinary Emergency Group location, or Planned Pethood in Wheatridge, CO for assistance instead if your pet is receiving treatment. They have financial assistance programs available for clients who are in dire need.
We also have a grand list of Pet Grants in all the states.
