Besides that, they also assist veterans in finding public housing options. In order to qualify, you must be a citizen or a legal immigrant, and meet the low income requirements. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
TANF provides cash grants to parents with dependent children. These cash grants can be used to pay for transportation, clothing, bills and other living expenses. The program’s goal is to provide financial assistance for short-term needs and to help people become financially independent.
Qualification requirements include being a resident of Arkansas, being a citizen or legal immigrant, being a parent or legal guardian of a child under the age of 18, and meeting the low income requirements. To apply, provide proof of identity, proof of citizenship, proof of income, immunization records for children in preschool age, and any other documents per request. Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
