The state of Delaware is home to nearly 72,000 veterans. And many of these veterans find it difficult to afford their bills. That’s because they are between jobs, or they can’t find a job that pays enough to pay for their cost of living. There are grants available for veterans in Delaware. Fortunately, there are grants that are available and are viewed as valuable tools to assist those who are in need.
The majority of grants available to veterans in Delaware come from the federal government, but they are managed by the state offices. These grants for veterans can be used to pay for food, housing, phone service, and also provide cash assistance to help with daily living expenses. Grants do not need to be repaid, unlike loans. They are counted as gifts, designed to help those in need to get back on their feet.
