Nearly 438,000 veterans reside in New Jersey. This state also has a higher rate of unemployment of veterans. Between having a higher unemployment rate in this state and being unable to find a job that pays enough, a lot of veterans may feel stressed as they struggle to make ends meet every month. The good news is that veterans who struggle to pay their monthly bills may be eligible for assistance. New Jersey offers various grants that can help them get by each month.
Grants are different from loans because they don’t have to be repaid. These are mostly government-funded, and are intended to help people facing financial difficulties. The majority of grants are for short-term financial assistance, but a few grants programs provide long-term assistance for veterans.
