About Grass Roots Rescue

Grass Roots Rescue is the home for the perfectly imperfect. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, dog rescue that prides in not discriminating based on any breed, age, or medical condition. They are open to dogs that require extensive medical care, rehabilitation, or those that will need additional resources and work.

GRR believes that all dogs have value. Each canine deserves a chance at happiness. When owners are unable to care for their dog, they rescue them from dangerous situations and those that were surrendered.

The GRRTribe is a dedicated group of volunteers, fosters, and veterinarians who are dedicated to helping the dogs become the best version of themselves. They are given love, veterinary care, and training until their forever family comes to get them. It does not matter how long it takes. Foster homes are encouraged to be as involved as they are comfortable with and give them the flexibility to foster dogs based on their needs, restrictions, or desires.

In addition, Grass Roots Rescue strives to be a resource for the community and all pet owners. They work hard to dispel the myths surrounding many “bully” breeds through providing information and educational opportunities on responsible pet ownership, offering assistance with pet food, spay/neuter, and emergency medical care when the fund allows.
