About Us

Mountains’ Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) pet rescue. In 1975, local residents who were concerned about the welfare of mountain domesticated pets established it. They provide assistance for seniors, veterans, low-income, disabled, and seniors for spay/neuter, dental, and emergency medical care.

Volunteers run this organization. They are passionate about helping animals and their owners through financial aid. They provide assistance for seniors, veterans, disabled, and those with low incomes. The mountain community only covers from Cedar Pines Park up to Big Bear.

Mountains’ Humane Society Pet Rescue is the organization’s new name. Due to confusion, a clarification that they are not an animal shelter or animal control is needed. They are actually a 501(c)(3) rescue which finds homes for unwanted animals. They are committed to helping abandoned and stray animals as well as owner surrenders in their mountains.
