WHO CAN APPLY
Social service agencies that provide assistance to individuals and families in need in the Berkshire Taconic region.
GRANT INFORMATION
Neighbor-to-Neighbor offers emergency assistance for local residents in financial and economic distress. Small grants (up to $1,000 during COVID-19) are awarded to assist residents with short-term housing costs, transportation issues, overdue utilities, and medical bills. On behalf of the community member in crisis, checks are sent to the vendor (landlords, utility companies, pharmacies, or mechanics). These funds are not planned for ongoing or long-term assistance. However, they are intended to be used for strategic intervention to achieve a measure of stability and prevent future crises.
Neighbor-to-Neighbor continues Berkshire Taconic’s tradition of helping families and individuals in need. They raise thousands of dollars annually from neighbors who want to help neighbors.
Berkshire Taconic works with social service agencies to distribute Neighbor-to-Neighbor funds, and connect them with other social services.

ELIGIBILITY
For assistance, please contact the social service agencies to submit your application on your behalf.
AWARDS
Up to $1,000 is available. When a grant is awarded, the payment is sent directly to the vendor, and not the individual.
