Basic Food Needs

All of the Centers are available and safely providing service for those who need them.

For assistance, call the nearest Center to where you live. It may be necessary to leave a message, but let the staff get back to you in time. To receive assistance, you must be within the service area. If you are not within the service area, however, please call 2-1-1 for assistance or visit www.211.org.

The guests include:

  • Working people who are simply unable to make ends meet
  • Senior citizens with fixed incomes
  • People with disabilities or illnesses
  • Victims of job loss or spousal abandonment
  • People going through other crises

Emergency Response Fund

New Hope Ministries is concerned about the plight of our neighbors who are facing eviction or losing unemployment benefits. In addition, there’s a lack of affordable and available housing. The New Hope Ministries is prepared to help you and assist in getting people back to work. Take a look at the career fairs that are coming up on the calendar. Did you know that there are job training programs that will help you get a job to support your family? Contact the Center nearest to you to get started. New Hope Ministries still offers hope and help!

The PA 2-1-1 helpline is available to provide referrals and information on health and human services for those who live outside of the service area. Please dial 2-1-1 on your phone.

Mobile Food Pantry

The New Hope Ministries’ mobile food pantry allows the guests to get food even if they are unable to visit one of the 8 Centers.

No appointment is necessary to use the Mobile Food Pantry. It is open to everyone. Simply show up at the designated times to be enrolled and to receive food. Are you unable to make it to the Mobile Pantry because of transportation issues? You can discuss your options with a representative! Call (717) 432-3053, ext. 308.

Volunteers are required to help with the Mobile Food Pantry Program. If you can lend your help, it will be great! Please fill out the following form for your application today!
